ABOUT TABAN
Taban is a meteorologist, reporter, and communications specialist currently located in Denver, Colorado. She has her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal with the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

As a Southern California native, she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Environmental Sciences and a minor in Environmental Systems and Society.

Taban's experience ranges from scientific and news reporting, editing, graphic design, and public communications.

PASSION

Taban is passionate about the environment. She uses her experience to inform the public on wildfires, earthquakes, thunderstorms, climate change, air quality, and more.

COMMUNITY ORIENTED

Taban is listening to the voices of the community and telling their stories. During the coronavirus pandemic, she crafted Neighborhood Heroes, a segment highlighting people who were making a positive impact in their community.

MULTIFACETED

On top of detailed forecasting and scientific storytelling, Taban pitches, shoots, writes, and edits stories for television and digital platforms. She thrives in a fast-paced environment with her detail-oriented approach.
