ABOUT TABAN
Taban is a meteorologist, reporter, and communications specialist currently working for a national weather company located in Denver, Colorado. She has her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal with the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
A Southern California native, she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Environmental Sciences and a minor in Environmental Systems and Society.
Her professional journey began in Los Angeles where she was a public policy intern with Global Green USA, a non profit organization aiming to shift society into a sustainable future. By 2016, she worked for KNBC in Los Angeles as an intern and consulting meteorologist. By 2017, she became a morning meteorologist and co-anchor with KLST in San Angelo, Texas. Since 2019, she has been the weekend morning meteorologist and a reporter with KESQ in Palm Springs, California.
Taban is a scientist and environmentalist. She excels in time management, communication through visual storytelling, writing, and public engagement.
