ABOUT TABAN
Taban is a meteorologist, reporter, and communications specialist currently located in Denver, Colorado. She has her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal with the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

A Southern California native, she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Environmental Sciences and a minor in Environmental Systems and Society.

Taban's experience ranges from scientific and news reporting, editing, graphic design, and public communications.

PASSION

Taban is passionate about the environment. She uses her experience to inform the public on wildfires, earthquakes, strong winds, thunderstorms, climate change, air quality, and more.

COMMUNITY ORIENTED

Taban spends her time out in the community listening to their voices and telling their stories. During the coronavirus pandemic, she told stories on Neighborhood Heroes, people who were making a positive impact in their community.

MULTIFACETED

On top of forecasting weather and building graphics, Taban pitches, shoots, writes, and edits stories for television and web. She is able to work in a fast paced environment in breaking news.
